Introduction

You will create a Romero Britto-inspired piece of art. The center image can be on whatever you like. Do a little research and think about what image matters to you and why it matters to you. It has to be meaningful but it can be whatever you would like. It can be a person, a character, an object or a word. Here are some example of Romero Britto’s artwork:

BE CREATIVE! Push the limits of your imagination!

Are We Done?

Once you’re finished with this art project and the writing component, think about what else you can create! You don’t have to do it for class but I strongly encourage you to try to create other art work in your spare time. Be creative and use your imagination to express your thoughts and emotions.

Create art that is meaningful to you regardless of whether of what you think others will say. Create art that will inspire more things within you. Create art that is not perfect because there’s no such thing as perfect art.

I have given you some of the tools you need, it’s on you to apply them in places and projects beyond the classroom. Remember that you CAN be creative in other subject areas and in other areas of your life as well. Look for things that inspire you and express yourself in every way you can do so!

Creativity takes courage.” Henri Matisse

Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” Andy Warhol
